New 52 Garbage...PARENT BEWARE this is not appropriate for kids
PARENTS BEWARE this is not appropriate for children...Its sad that this might be a kids first exposure to these characters.
They are nothing like they should be...They have modernized the life/love/spirit right out of Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman/Green Lantern/Flash...and destroyed Cyborg and Captain Marvel (yes Captain Marvel...NOT Shazam)
Great reinvention
This is based on the New 52 relaunch of the Justice League and it's great. The character designs are excellent, the action impressive, and the story is fun. I really enjoyed it. Great action piece - I wish it was the pilot for a new series.
Warning to Parents
This is not the Justice League you remember. I grew up reading and watching D.C. Comics and I cannot tell you how disappointed and disgusted I am with the lack of veneration this movie has given to its iconic characters.
I can accept, with disappointment, the choice to change some things to keep them fresh. I can live with the fact that you have made the Green Lantern someone who seems to have the IQ of a walnut and makes me fearful he is in charge of protecting the galaxy. I can live with the fact that Wonder Woman and Superman are flirts. However, when you change the core values and morals of the characters you have the duty to uphold then I feel compelled to share my contempt.
Since when do super heroes kill?
Superman breaks a man’s neck with his hands.
Wonder woman bloodily decapitates dozens of bad guys and then wipes their blood off her sword.
Batman won’t use a gun but he will kill with every other tool he has?
Captain Marvel is a thieving kid who alienates his friends?
While we are at it, since when do our role models use foul language?
This is not so much a revamping for a new age as it is bastardization of morals and values.
It is a shame that parents can no longer assume the Justice League is a good thing for their children to watch.
