Plot Summary
Punk-rocker turned suburban mom, Kelly (a fantastic Juliette Lewis), is nostalgic for a life she can no longer have and uncertain of a future she doesn't yet fit in. Seventeen-year-old Cal (Jonny Weston in a breakthrough performance) is frustrated at his lack of control over the hand he's been dealt. When the two strike up an unlikely friendship, it's the perfect spark needed to thrust them both back to life.

What a great piece! All the actors do such a fine job. It is a superb script. I was completely enthralled.
It doesn't get any more 'real' than this.
The raw emotion felt and expressed by this disabled teen is heart-wrenching. The way in which Cal interprets and responds to the given situation reminds us that there is a deep complex of raw pain beneath this teen's surface. His longings for Kelly serve as the crack in this young man's dam. So very real. Bravo!
