Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Emphasis is on tension in the telling, and effective use of melodramatic mood has been used to point up the suspense.
Fresh: A little windy and rhetorical for my taste, but still one of John Huston's best efforts.
Fresh: Perfeclty tense atmosphere and performances, with the sparks flying between Bogart and Bacall.
Fresh: Huston's wayward talent seldom lacked energy.

Key Largo
This is an all time classic five star film for all true fans of Film Noir. Bogart and Robinson play off each other perfectly and give us a slightly different twist on their usual Warner Bros tough guy personas. I watch this one at least once a year.
Great Movie!
One of the all time great classics...
Edmund Charles Author
Bogart, Bacall, E.G. Robinson and Lionel Barrymore- can't beat the cast or the story. Bogart plays the post WW II anti-hero to perfection, to see his character express self-doubt and moral ambiguity is refreshing, especially for the type-cast Bogart. This film placed him apart from the tough gangster and detective characters and allowed him to portray a more sympathetic individual back from WW II and lost in a world in which he no longer belongs or believes. Bacall is simply beautiful in a very subdued form of character as the widowed war bride. Great performances all the way around. Don't miss this one! Grab your beer and popcorn and settle in for this one.
