Number Seven on all time musical list.....
You have to be a musical person, this one is number seven on my top twenty favorite musicals. The story is one of those "what a difference a day makes" plot; it opens with a beggar and his daughter Marcina, they are living in Baghdad and he is a poet. I am not going to give the story away but there is love, gold, deception, and of course a strangely happy ending. The musical numbers are really great and Howard Keel as always is amazing in this role.
Kiss me kissmet
It was said the Vincent Minnelli lost intrest while making this movie. People who had seen the play were very disappointed of the outcome of the film. I not being around during that time found this musical just wounderful. The scoring, the singing and most of all ,The recording in stereophonic sound .Deelightfuly
