Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: [Fonda] makes all the right choices, from the mechanics of her walk and her voice inflection to the penetration of the girl's raging psyche. It is a rare performance.
Fresh: With Fonda and Sutherland, you have actors who understand and sympathize with their characters, and you have a vehicle worthy of that sort of intelligence. So the fact that the thriller stuff doesn't always work isn't so important.
Fresh: Fonda is simply a revelation, beautiful, sassy and streetwise, and yet hauntingly vulnerable. She deserved her Oscar in a role she has never bettered.
Fresh: For once, a genuinely psychological thriller.

Subtle but deadly
One of the all-time great murder mysteries to come out of the early 70s free love and drug scene. Outstanding acting from both leads. Tension builds slowly to a stunning ending.
Understated thriller of the 70's
I love this film! It was truly produced well between the air of creepiness in the cinematography, certain settings of the film and the soundtrack!
Sutherland is truly a great actor. If you like this film, you should also see "Don't Look Now"......
