Ladyhawke
This movie came out the year my husband and I were married, I was enchanted and watched the movie over and over again as I worked in a movie theater to pay for college. What a lovely combination of characters and the story was so romantic. I still watch my VHS but will now carry the Ipod version wherever I go. I think I loved that beautiful Friesian horse almost as much as Rutger!
Amazing movie!
I was 21 when the movie came out and I remember seeing it with my g/f. The story was amazing and seeing it after all those years brought back a lot of good memories. What I don't understand, however, is why people say the music is dated? The movie is from 1985 and the music is obviously from... 1985. Excuse me, but if you're watching "The Graduate", "Grease" or "Hair" do you dislike it because the music in it isn't what people listen to nowadays? Just enjoy it!
A Truly Beautiful Movie
This movie has been one of my favorites since I first saw it in theater. The acting is great and the action is good, but that is not where the heart of this movie lies. It is instead within the love of Navarre and Isabeau. Cursed to live their lives forever together, but eternally apart, the couples love for each other shines through with the light of the sun. It is one of the best love stories I have ever seen and to this day it brings a smile to my face. Just get it!
