Plot Summary

When Billy gets into trouble with a local drug dealer, he hits the road and heads to the last place he wants to go: his childhood home. Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: When Sissy Spacek speaks her cliched lines in the mediocre screenplay of Lake City, her delivery lends them a resonance that is not in the written words. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: The story is as impersonal as it is labored. – Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Moore and Hill's script plunges [Sissy] Spacek in a mawkish stew of banality and improbability composed of bits and pieces of earlier roles. – Ronnie Scheib, Variety, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: A convoluted, discombobulated take on a small-town drama, Lake City shifts gears so often it never gets out of the driveway. – Sam Adams, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010
