Plot Summary

The soldiers' last words. Their families last memories. Our nation's lasting gratitude. HBO and the New York Times, in association with Life Books, present a poignant tribute to the fallen American soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the war in Iraq: Last Letters Home, read by the families of ten men and women killed in action. Produced and directed by Oscar(R)-and Emmy(R) Award winner Bill Couturie (HBO's 'Dear America: Letters Home From Vietnam'), this documentary is an intimate, deeply moving tribute to American soldiers recently killed during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Really Moving.... made me cry.

Most documentries about war only have actors read the letters of the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines that write them. This documentry, however, is different. What makes it even more moving... is that the ones who read these letters... are the families of those who were lost. To see a Wife, Mother, Father, and more cry over a letter really touches the human heart. This documenrty is the best there is... and that is all I have to say about that.

Tears

I've. Watched this doc over n over theroughout the past years n I still get the tears.... Such a heart touching doc. Kinda grabs ya by the boo boo.. Laugh out loud.
