Plot Summary

The third film from acclaimed director Xavier Dolan (I Killed My Mother, Heartbeats) is an epic and visually stunning tale of impossible love. Laurence, a French teacher and soon-to-be-published author, enjoys an intense and mutually loving relationship with his fiancée, Frédérique. But on the day after his 35th birthday, Laurence confesses to Fred that he longs to become a woman, asking her to support his transformation. The film follows the course of the couple's on-again, off-again relationship throughout the 1990s.

Tragic love story

I loved this movie. The actings were superb. Emotionally charged performances especially from both main characters. The ending made me tear up, if only we know that their love will suffer but it's sure worth it.

Masterpiece

This film will break your heart. Visually stunning. The performances are incredible, especially the coffee shop scene.
