Plot Summary

For nearly a century, American servicemen were stationed at Subic Bay in the Philippines, and many of them fathered children with the women who lived nearby. When the base closed in 1991, hundreds of these children were left behind, stripped of their fathers and their sense of identity. A PBS Indies/Independent Lens selection.

not a croc movie, this stuff really happens and is pretty inexcusable

People like this (irresponsible fathers who love to play when it's fun but bail when they bring a life into this world) give a terrible, irresponsible image to all who truly serve this country. There's no justification for their actions in times of war or peace. Raising a kid shouldn't be something that's forced upon only one parent. Life for most in this part of the world is hard enough and it's a true shame that any man from a developed country would be so cruel.

Very Moving!

Excellent documentary! Worth renting and watching. It "hits home" about irresponsible behavior or policies that impact innocent children who are the offspring of some American military personnel. In many cases, it seems like the children are dysfunctional and self-undermining but at the same time, there is the power of love (through others) which helps them to deal and perhaps ultimately overcome their environmental conditioning.

what a croc

This movie is hilarious. A bunch of morons that didn't know the purpose of the military is to embark upon dangerous violent expenditures as part of daily life. Its starts with a guy saying there needs to be a surgeon generals warning on the Armed Forces. I am sad that the dumbification of america has reached a point where the basics of life are not passed on from generation to generation. Basically this film highlights a bunch of free-loading cowards that just wanted a free college ride. and when called to perform the duty they pledged to do were dumbfounded. do not pay to watch this trash.
