Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Mr. Pitt's diffident mix of acting and attitude works to such heartthrob perfection it's a shame the film's superficiality gets in his way.
Rotten: Under such labored circumstances, James Horner's music must work overtime. It swoops and broods and promises you that something elemental about manliness is being conveyed.
Fresh: Though the admirable Quinn has the toughest role, Pitt carries the picture. The blue-eyed boy who seemed a bit lost in Interview With the Vampire proves himself a bona fide movie star, stealing every scene he's in.
Fresh: As densely plotted as Legends of the Fall is, it's to the credit of the performers and craftsmen that the film escapes the abyss of melodrama and sentimentality.
Customer Reviews
I cried through the entire movie!
Seriously! Non-stop...I was happy and sad and shocked and sickened and a million different other emotions. It was one of the best movies I have EVER seen and I recommend it to absolutely everyone. I watched it after a break up and let me just say, after seeing this movie, I realized my life wasn't so bad after all. Definitely rent, if not buy!
one of the best movies
even though i would like if itunes low the price of rent, even if it worth every penny
One of the best movies, of all time!
This movie is captivating, magical, and beautiful! When I say “magical” I’m talking about from the music, to how put together, and wonderfully filmed it is. This movie is enchanting! The acting is superb; the story is breathtakingly beautiful, sad, confusing, perfect, and sad again, then just right. I definitely recommend this movie, and the soundtrack!
