Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Calling to mind the work of Anne Rice and Stephen King, atmospheric adaptation of Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist's bestseller is well directed by his countryman Tomas Alfredson.
Fresh: Sinister but gorgeous and compelling.
Fresh: A remarkably moving horror tale, about a pale, bullied twelve-year-old boy (Kare Hedebrant) and his first love (Lina Leandersson), who happens to be a vampire.
Fresh: Beautifully shot, moving yet unsentimental, restrained in tone and consummately performed, Let The Right One In is a horror film of near universal appeal, and already has the feel of a classic about it.

Dark and Humorous
This is easily the best movie I've seen over the past year, and the best vampire movie I've seen in recent memory. This movie snuck up on me, having not heard anything about it. Luckily, I happened to be at my local Art Institute and they were having a screening. Going into the movie, I had no expectation. Coming out, I was blown away. It takes place cira 1985 in Sweden. A shy boy that's picked on in school and seemingly has no friends, befriends the new girl to his neighborhood. She compliments his personality short-comings and encourages him to stand up for himself. They become inseparable, but the boy begins picking up on the clues that his best friend is "different". Other plot highlights revolve around the girl and her father’s attempts to keep her true identity secret, and the growing suspicions within the small Swedish community. Woven with dark humor, this superbly written and directed film touches on the theory of unconditional love, friendship, and the limits you would go to protect it. This is a definite” Must See”.
Just Plain Wonderful
This has to be the greatest movie of '08.Twilight can't even hold a candle to this masterpiece.People are saying this movie is a rip off of Twilight. This isn't so.The novel came out one year before Twilight and is 1000x times better than the pile of dog crap named Twilight.
Well done and not dubbed
The version for rent is not dubbed.
