Plot Summary

Jean-Claude Van Damme takes no prisoners in this gritty, gripping action thriller set in the gory world of modern-day gladiators. But with two security force officials on his heels and a roster of brutal, bare-knuckled opponents ready in the ring, does Gaultier have what it takes to make it out alive? Find out in this exciting adventure into the treacherous world of no-holds-barred street fighting.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Using tactics like these, Woody Allen could become an action hero, too. – Janet Maslin, New York Times, Nov 2, 2008

Rotten: As Lionheart heads for his final confrontation, the film's soundtrack blasts out a "Rocky"-like song called 'No Mercy.' Unless you're a Van Damme or martial arts fanatic, you're more likely to be thinking: No, merci. – Richard Harrington, Washington Post, Nov 2, 2008

hypocritical WIDESCREEN

I can never figure out what’s the point of widescreen when it doesn’t expand the view but instead crops off the upper and lower parts of the screen. It’s so deceptive and stupid. That said, I’ve been waiting for the HD version of this film (possibly one of the last Van Damme films to get upgraded), since it’s one of my favorite of his, featuring some of the hottest fights ever.

Best movie ever

I love this movie. Van dame at his best!!!!
