Plot Summary
15 year-old Lily (Juno Temple) and her best friend Alison (Kay Panabaker) live on the shores of the Salton Sea among rundown trailers parks, rotting household items, drained pools and decaying streets. When they meet a few visiting street kids, the girls' bond is tested when Lily convinces Alison to follow the boys back to Los Angeles and they quickly fall into the boys' world of scams and petty crime. Lily must decide how far she will go to grow up and Alison must deicde how far she will go to protect Lily. One of the Top 10 Independent Films of 2012 as selected by The National Board Of Reviews

Rotten: It is hard not to be reminded of other movies - like Larry Clark's "Kids," Nick Cassavetes's "Alpha Dog," Andrea Arnold's "Fish Tank" - that explore similar territory with greater risk and originality.
Fresh: There's a moralistic structure there, but it leaves Lily in a place that's scarcely more reassuring than the one she first abandoned. That's what makes Little Birds not just a lesson but, in its rambling way, an organic journey.
Fresh: Little Birds is such a typical Sundance movie you almost don't need to see it to know where it's headed. To skip, however, would be to miss the arrival of promising new helmer Elgin James and gifted up-and-comer Juno Temple.
Rotten: The dialogue is as stock as the characters, and James's visual palette never surpasses the adequate.

I thought Juno and Kay were wonderful. Its a little slow but I have to admit the last 20 minutes had me a little anxious wondering what was going to happen. If you are looking for something that moves slowly and a bit tragic, this is for you.

This movie is so heartfelt and simply amazing the first time i saw this i was completely head over heals for it, its so un-predictable and really makes you wanna watch it again, i say try it, i think you will love it <3
Brilliant
Little birds is a heart felt coming of age story. Every actor perfectly portrays there character. A movie that moves you. I was in tears.
