Plot Summary
After years of treading water in her career and redeeming herself after a troubled past, Tracy Heart (Blanchett) sets a goal of owning her own business. But the return of her ex-boyfriend and the criminal intentions of her brother threaten to tear apart her goals and test her relationship to her mother. Will her dreams be enough to start a new life?

Fresh: Cate Blanchett sinks into the role of a recovering drug addict in a thorny, compelling drama from Australia.
Fresh: The actors are terrific, especially Weaving, who plays bottoming out as a tragedy spiked with gallows humor, and Blanchett, who digs deep into the booby-trapped nature of recovery. The revelation, however, is Rowan Woods, a major filmmaker in the making.
Fresh: While Little Fish takes a turn for the generic in its final act, solid acting, an atmospheric soundtrack, and flare-filled cinematography more beautiful than an Apple screensaver are enough to keep the film afloat.
Fresh: A small film with a big cast, Little Fish is notable for its performances.

Don't waste your time or money - depressing drivel
Oh, don't waste your time or money. Dull, boring, pointless, uninteresting. So bad I couldn't even finish it.

Uninteresting drivel goes on and on and on. If you like to watch the twisted and uninteresting drama addicts inflict on each other, try this one and see if you can make it through without falling asleep. But there are so many more interesting things to think about in this life, I'm not sure why anyone would waste their time on this. The acting is excellent, the story is boring, unoriginal, and long-winded.
