Plot Summary
Father Richard (Greg Kinnear) is desperately trying to sell his motivational success program... with no success. Meanwhile, "pro-honesty" mom Sheryl (Toni Collette) lends support to her eccentric family, including her depressed brother (Steve Carell), fresh out of the hospital after being jilted by his lover. Then there are the younger Hoovers - the seven-year-old, would-be beauty queen Olive (Abigail Breslin) and Dwayne (Paul Dano), a Nietzsche-reading teen who has taken a vow of silence. Topping off the family is the foul-mouthed grandfather (Alan Arkin), whose outrageous behavior recently got him evicted from his retirement home. When Olive is invited to compete in the "Little Miss Sunshine" pageant in far-off California, the family piles into their rusted-out VW bus to rally behind her - with riotously funny results.

The best movie i have ever seen.
I have been waiting for this movie to come out on itunes for years. This is one of my favorite movies. There is a wide spread of characters. the over achiever dad trying to make a living, gay guy that doubles as a suicidal uncle, a teenage misfit that doesn't speak, a young girl that aspires to be a pagent queen (who happens to be without that anorexic shape), the mom that gets by while trying to make her kids and husband happy, and how could we forget the drug addicted grandpa living off of his son. so obviously there are a lot of places that you can connect to. This is a story about the young pagent queen girl going to the "championship" contest. It starts out as just a road trip, but becomes so much more when everyones personalities come out in the 1000 mile road trip. the events are shocking and unpredictable, making the dull plot more exciting. There is minor drug content, not as bad as youd think. it starts off where youd think its all about drugs, but the topic strays away after a single scene. i found this to be a coming of age film, for the 13 year olds. this movie is a great view into the darkest parts of life. must see for everyone.

This is the only movie I was just dying to have on my iPhone. I kept coming back to check. THIS TOTALLY MAKE MY WHOLE WEEK!! THANKS ITUNES!!!!
Best Movie Ever?
Well, it certainly is one of my personal favorites. Everybody should watch this when they're having a down day... plus, you'll never listen to 'Superfreak' the same way again.
