Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The barely relieved boredom is, apparently, an attempt to contradict David Byrne's contention that only 'Heaven is a place where nothing really happens.' – Elvis Mitchell, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: Far from being frightening or brutal or harrowing, as an exorcism thriller ought to be, it's silly, undone by lack of faith in its own subject. – Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: With the original Exorcist back at the multiplex, you don't need this pale copy. – Peter Travers, Rolling Stone, Jan 6, 2007

Rotten: Its characters are so colorless and uninvolving that it's hard to take them seriously. – Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times, Feb 24, 2007
