Plot Summary

From the masters of horror who brought you The Blair Witch Project comes a terrifying new vision of evil that will redefine horror once again. A mysterious evil is waiting for Molly (Gretchen Lodge), who moves with her new husband into her late father’s empty country house. Haunted by dark demons, she is soon left alone to confront a lurking presence inside the house – one that could drive her beyond the edge of pure fear. Hailed as “guaranteed to haunt you” (Dread Central), Lovely Molly breaks new ground in raw, cutting-edge horror, delivering scares that slice to your very soul. You will never want to turn off the lights again!

Rotten: Common sense and basic logic are left are the door; there's a brief creature effect that is laughably, outlandishly awful. – Mark Olsen, Los Angeles Times, May 18, 2012

Rotten: Has all the interest of watching an inexplicably untreated wound fester. – Nick Pinkerton, Village Voice, May 15, 2012

Fresh: [Sanchez] demonstrates that a well-timed door slam and a cleverly framed shot of an ordinary household object are as creepy as ever. – Farran Smith Nehme, New York Post, May 18, 2012

Extraordinarily Creepy

This movie is for those who appreciate subtlety, suspense, and atmosphere. In other words, this movie is for those who appreciate true horror and suspense. The movie deals with very dark subject matter and incorporates that into very well built suspense. Like The Blair Witch Project, Eduardo Sanchez once again does more with less, leaving ones mind free to interpret the horror into what scares them most. Solid acting and a decent story, combined with Sanchez's ability to craft nail-scratching suspense from nothing, make this film a step above the rest. As far as the "creature effect", I hate CGI as much as anyone and I can tell you Mark Olsen has no idea what he's talking about. There is hardly an "effect" at all. Probably scared him so much he had to lighten it up somehow. If you're looking for a light-hearted action-horror, and/or have no attention span, look elsewhere. Otherwise rent this and prepare to get freaked out. Clop Clop.

Terrible.

I hated this movie, it was awful. Don't waste you're money, I didn't even understand half of it.
