Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: Antonio Serrano, stages his wobbly adaptation of Rosa Montero's novel La Hija del Canibal with lively, fast-moving efficiency. – Elvis Mitchell, New York Times, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: Anxiety is a fair response to a midlife crisis, but that hardly means that we want to see the heroine of a movie spend scene after scene trapped in a nervous dither of indecision. – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: An exhilarating celebration of the possibilities of love and friendship. – Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Lucia, a writer of children's books, dips in and out of fiction in her own life, the line blurring so often that it's hard to tell what's real and what's fantasy in Lucia, Lucia. It's even harder to care. – Carla Meyer, San Francisco Chronicle, Aug 5, 2003
