Fresh: The kind of crime comedy that you root for even as it grows progressively more irritating.
Rotten: Unfortunately, Vaughn repeatedly crosses the line between persuasively playing an obnoxious character and coming across as nerve-gratingly self-indulgent.
Fresh: The comic invention at work here -- Vaughn's and Favreau's -- make Made into a rough gem.
Fresh: A movie with better potential than actual results.

Now where is "Swingers" on iTunes???
Love this cult classic with Vaughn and Favreau but I want "Swingers" to be available on iTunes! Come on already!
Hilarious, great characters!
First of all, I can't believe how many people are giving this movie one star and saying it's the worst thing they've ever seen. One guy in particular says that all the four and five star reviews MUST be plugs posted by studio marketing - Because this movie is so bad that NOBODY could possibly like it! Listen people, just because YOU don't like it and YOU don't get it, doesn't make it a bad movie. It just makes it not your cup of tea (Unless of course you're ME, in which case you're always right). This happens to be a very good movie, quirky and offbeat, with characters that are layered and multi-dimensional, who we really get to know. One problem with it that many reviewers have pointed out is the plot, and they're right. It is pretty confusing as far as what their whole mafia mission is supposed to be. What are they doing?! ...It is a bit confusing and convoluted, but the movie is just so fun and charming that I don't care. These guys are both simply great together, both so funny, as is the supporting cast. Stylishly shot, with good music and lots of laughs, Jon Favreau has done a great job with this. "Swingers" is still better, but this is still immensely enjoyable and shows both actors in their prime. I'm right, and anyone who disagrees with me is wrong. (: Jesse :)
Red Dragon hahaha
Awe man, this is funny funny stuff. You bet Vaughn's annoying and Faverau is pathetic, that's the point. These two characters bounce off each other but are so detuned (each in his own way) that it's always an awkward bounce, but HILARIOUS! And all the while it's totally natural for them. The first time I watched this movie it was almost hard to watch because Vaugh is pulling his character off so well, but you can't pull yourself away you just have to keep watching. It's incredible. You can see the pain in Faverau's character's eyes as he deals with his best friend and how badly he just wishes he could run away, but he can't because it is his best friend and he knows it. If you like comedies with heart, a little sadness, a grating antagonist and just funny situations you really can't go wrong. If you need laugh tracks to figure out what to laugh at probably look else where.
