Fresh: Instead of giving the viewer the satisfaction of watching a movie, this charming collection of incidents feels like flipping through a magazine with amusing Franglais quotations pulled.
Rotten: Unfortunately, the film doesn't show its subject's creative process as much as that of her collaborators ...
Rotten: There are just so many ways Carine Roitfeld can say she loves fashion in "Mademoiselle C," a somewhat interesting documentary that brings us into the inner workings of a magazine, but harps a bit too much on her ideas of fashion and style.
Fresh: As vanity projects go, this one's unusually well-made - as any portrait of an iconic stylist ought to be.

Inspiring.
A film about a power women that makes you want to get off your butt and do something with your life.
Journey with fashion Dynamo
I’m not in fashion, but I found this documentary pretty interesting - mostly because I enjoy fashion. For me it’s art, and can be emotion (a quote from the subject). But what I liked about this best was the subject. She is unpredictably, very accessible and simple as a person.
At least from what we see on camera.
You get to see her work and speak with collaborators, and it’s all interesting.
But whether documentary or narrative, we are trained as an audience to overcome with the subject, CONFLICT. And I sort of felt this film lacked a problem, which pulls you in, in a much needed way. I wanted to see her truly grapple with something.
To see her frustration, her moment of almost giving up (at the brink). Am I too dramatic? But even in documentary, I want to know the problem we are solving and experience it as one. There was a little here, but it lacked something.
Besides that, the documentary is perfect. Carine seems to be great human being, and up against the backdrop of the world she weaves, it was a pleasure to get to know her a bit.
Bonus: peeks into the process of styling by probably…the best!
