Plot Summary

Set in industrial downtown Atlanta, a scrawny 7th grader, Magellan, walks to and from middle school everyday with his popular, latchy-key classmate, Tiana. Their precarious friendship is jeopardized, however, when Magellan asks her to the upcoming Spring Dance.
