This Movie Is Deep !!!!!

One of Denzel Washington's best roles Period !!!

One of the 10 best Movies of the 90's

Definitely one of the greatest epics ever made on one individual. From the set pieces, costumes, music and acting, this movie takes you into a world that no one but Spike Lee could direct at the time. Some scenes with music are forever etched in my mind because of the beauty of the cinematography that they were placed in. (My Prayer and A Change Is Gonna Come) Spike Lee in top form and one of my favorite movies of all time.

Malcolm X (4.5 mics)

Undeniably one of Spike Lee's best films, and a significant breakthrough at the time for his carrer; quote "This is the hardest film I've had to make". Overall, the film had a well adapted screenplay (co-written by Spike Lee) and nearly perfected direction. Denzel Washington portrayed Malcolm X in the sense I personally think Spike Lee wanted to portray him, by evidently representing his notable flaws and charmable qualities as an individual. From my perspective Malcolm X is an overall very complex individual of which whom became devoted to the muslum religion. You don't necessarily have to be fond of X to enjoy the film, but understand the challanges he faced to deliver justice to the Black/African-American culture. Here Lee uses an effective narrative to capture Malcolm's personal obstacles and confrontations throughout his lifetime. As an overall result the film is a considerable breakthrough regarding Spike Lee's carrer and descriptively identifies a man that stood up for his traditional roots. Great Film.
