Plot Summary

The film Malfunkshun –The Andrew Wood Story is presented for the world to experience the life of the fallen LoveChild, Andrew Wood. Directed by Scot Barbour, he artfully paints the story of Andy’s childhood and his relationships, his dreams and his darkness, his passion and his pain with haunting lyrics and intimate conversations with family, friends and never-before-seen interviews with Andy himself. Loin Queen Parader

Being an enthusiastic fan of Mother Love Bone from long ago I was certain to enjoy the documentary for its nostalgia if nothing else. After seeing the genuine adoration friends threw Wood's way, his goofball charisma and free spirit, the smiling, tearful reminiscence of his confused but loving family, and obvious talent the loss of Andrew Wood is one of more than a great band being snuffed out far too soon. It's the loss of a brother and friend. We've all had impacting losses in our lives. Listen to other music that was made in 1988-1990 and then listen to Mother Love Bone. Now tell me which stands as tall today as it did then. Even if you know nothing about the music or don't like it you cannot help but feel for the floating soul that was Andrew Wood. If you love the music then you'll love this documentary.

Amazing

This is the Andrew Wood story so awesome. He is a great talent that died way to young.Get this and you won't regret it.

Man of Golden Words....

The dreamy sequences and images serve this movie well, as it tells the story of an extreme talent taken away from the world way too early. The interviews with family and friends in particular his father’s words at the beginning of the film are poignant and real as are the interviews with Andrew himself. This movie is an instant classic with triumph and tragedy intertwined with some of the best music to come out of Seattle. Landrew the Love Child will live on forever in our hearts and minds and now also on film…peaceloveout…
