Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: The plot - Robert Davi's stoic detective and Claudia Christian's pushy psychologist hunt an undead lawman (Robert Z'Dar) - is pretty dull, but the film handily coasts on sleazy charm. – Simon Abrams, Village Voice, Nov 12, 2013

Awesome Horror Sequel

Maniac Cop 2 is, in my opinion, the best of the Maniac Cop trilogy. It introduces great new characters like Det. Sean McKinney and Turkell, played by Robert Davi and Leo Rossi respectively. It has a bigger budget than the first film, and ups the ante in terms of scenery and stunts. The brilliant shootout in the police station rivals The Terminator (1984) in its intensity. The fiery car chases are done amazingly well by legendary stuntman Spiro Razatos. And of course, Bruce Campbell and Laurene Landon reprise their roles as police force lovers, haunted by the memory of the scarred lunatic Cordell. This is, without a doubt, one of the best horror movies ever.

**Important Notice**

Matt Cordell returns for the third and thankfully, last time! slightly watchable.
