Plot Summary

In Men In Black 3, Agents J (Will Smith) and K (Tommy Lee Jones) are back... in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. But when K's life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him - secrets that will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind.

A SOLID ADDITION TO THE "MIB" FRANCHISE

When I went to the theater to see "Men In Black 3", my expectations were somewhere in the middle. The first film in the series was fresh, funny, and wickedly exciting, not to mention it helped transform Will Smith into the world-famous movie star he is today. Unfortunately, the sequel turned out to be a complete misfire, recycling the same elements as its predecessor with abysmal results. But even after going out on a sour note for a decade, I was still hopeful that the "Men In Black" series would be able to make a huge comeback with the highly anticipated release of "MIB 3". And much to my surprise, it did. Not only did I have a total blast with this movie, but it actually left me wanting more.

This time out, Agent J (Will Smith) learns that his old partner Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) is in grave danger. In order to rescue K, save the agency, and prevent the fate of humanity from certain destruction, J must travel back in time to the year 1969 and team up with Agent K's younger self (Josh Brolin). The adventure that ensues may just be the greatest challenge our heroes have ever faced.

Smith and Jones do a fantastic job slipping back into the roles that made them big-name actors fifteen years ago. Although they hardly get to share as much screen time as they did in the past two "MIB" films, their back-and-forth chemistry is just as absurdly hilarious as it was before. But it's Josh Brolin who ends up stealing the spotlight in the long run as Young Agent K. It's uncanny how much he genuinely sounds and acts like Jones, not to mention the fact that he looks exactly like him. Talk about a committed performance! Jemaine Clement is also put to terrific use as Boris the Animal, the film's extraterrestrial villain with a penchant for vengeance. In the end, the cast is simply phenomenal. There's really no other way to put it.

At the end of the day, "Men In Black 3" is a fun popcorn flick through and through. With excellent special effects and enough laughs to overcome its sporadic moments of mediocrity, there's hardly ever a dull moment in the film. Granted, it doesn't quite reach the same heights as the first "MIB", but trust me, it's still well worth your time. When it comes to silly sci-fi entertainment, you can't go wrong with a movie as fun-filled as this one.

Emotional, Funny and Quite a Surprise

The acting was point on and memorable. The historical connection between the two characters in the end was such a shocker, to me at least. It was a beautiful ending and truly an unforgettable close. If they did another movie it would have to be with different actors and characters because this series seems to have reached its end but with a high note that cannot be matched. Thank you for making this film. I can't wait to own it.

P.S. Kinda surprised the critics liked it too. lol

The third men in black was a lot of fun

Better then the frist two men in black film, the third one was awesome and I just saw it in theater in 3D. The action and fight scene and the visual effects was great but awesome, the story was still good and the ending was great.
