Plot Summary

Twas the night before Christmas in the Southwest, and for five strangers spread out across town, it's the most depressing time of the year. As the night progresses, they randomly cross paths, and in unique and subtle ways, change each other's lives forever. Featuring incredible performances by veteran actors such as Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects), K Callan (Lois and Clark), and Kirk B.R. Woller (Flags of Our Fathers), as well as newcomers Mary Thornton and Mitchell Jarvis, "Midnight Clear" is a quiet tapestry of lonely people trying to connect in the midst of pain. The film also features terrific and surprising guest work from Victoria Jackson (SNL) and Richard Riehle (Office Space).

Customer Reviews

new classic

When I first started watching this movie, I thought it was bizarre. However I gave it the benefit of the doubt and assumed that there was a purpose for the grit and transparency of the opening scenes. Thankfully, I was right. The characters are very human, flawed, and going through very real pain. Although the film starts out bleakly, by the end the characters have helped each other find new hope and love. While this film is definitely geared toward adults, especially those feeling some kind of loss and pain at Christmas, older teenagers can certainly appreciate the sentiments and the questions Midnight Clear explores. The film is raw and deep with great acting, dialogue, and music. I recommend this movie to all adults; I'm sure you will add this to your yearly Christmas movie list as I have.

Really Depressing.

This was really incredible. This was a very depressing movie at the beginning, but as it progressed it became clear that it was going to be a good one. The acting was really good! This is definately worth it. I'm glad it is ten dollar$.

Great Movie

A great Christmas movie DEFINITELY worth your time. Emotional, suspenseful--all things one wouldn't expect in a Christmas movie, but more classic than you'd think. Worth your $10 and 2 hours.
