Plot Summary
After hitting a home run in his first game back from World War II, Hank Greenberg propelled Detroit to the 1945 AL crown, hitting a pennant-winning grand slam on the season's final day. He kept raking in the World Series against the Cubs - batting .304 with two home runs, seven runs and seven RBI - as the Tigers clinched the championship just two months after the war's end.
