Plot Summary

Harkening back to the golden age of New York baseball when the Fall Classic frequently featured the "Bums" and Yankees, the 1981 World Series marked the third meeting of these former rivals over the past five Octobers. Jumping out to a quick two game lead, the Bronx Bombers seemed poised to break the hearts of Dodgers once again. However, fiery Tommy Lasorda was able to rally his troops led by the veteran longtime infield of Garvey, Cey, Lopes and Russell as Dodger Blue stormed back to sweep the next four games.
