Plot Summary

With their third straight World Series appearance, the A's were on the cusp of solidifying a dynasty. But the Reds had other ideas. Riding the success of their "Nasty Boys" bullpen, the Reds became only the second team to hold first place wire-to-wire. The Pirates put up a fight in the NLCS, but the Reds breezed past the defending champs for their first title since the years of the famed Big Red Machine.
