Plot Summary

Just when it looked like the Phillies were going to force a Game 7 in the 1993 World Series, Blue Jays outfielder Joe Carter turned them away. With Toronto trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth in Game 6, Carter sent a down-and-in slider from Mitch Williams over the Skydome's left field fence. The shocking World Series-ending blast made the Blue Jays the first back-to-back champions since the Yankees in 1977-78.
