Plot Summary

The Yankees seemed indestructible, winning 16 of 19 World Series games they had played over the previous five years. But the Diamondbacks - led by Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson - were unafraid of the pinstriped juggernaut. With that attitude, the D-backs took the first two games at home. In Game 7, Arizona outfielder Luis Gonzalez hit one of the most dramatic bloop singles in Big League history to give the fourth year franchise its first championship.
