Plot Summary

In 19th-century Hawaii, lepers are exiled to the island of Molokai and left to fend for themselves without any outside assistance -- until a courageous priest named Father Damien (David Wenham) risks his own life to help ease their suffering. Peter O'Toole, Sam Neill and Derek Jacobi co-star in this inspiring biopic.

Father Damian

Very good story and sad

Excellent

I like this movie a lot. I usually cry because it is so moving. Damien (of Molokai) was my late son's confirmation name. We watched this movie together so it brings back memories.

Amazing

This movie is absolutely inspiring and hopeful. It demonstrates that through christ you can do anything, the movie is absolutely moving. It shows you how people open their hearts, and learn to love, even if its forbidden.
