Mona
This is one of the best independent movies I've ever seen. The performances are authentic and heartfelt. The dialogue is smart and funny. I watched the film alone and laughed out loud several times. Adrian Martinez is absolutely wonderful! His performance in this little gem is moving, funny, and thought provoking. Neal Jones is hilarious, Alex Lyras is dynamic and sexy, and Kristen Lewis is right on the money in the title role. Don't miss this one.
refreshing, clever, literate
What a refreshing change of pace from the formulaic romantic comedy bullsh*t we're expected to put up with if we want to watch an entrtaining movie about relationships. This film feels like a good play. The dialog is sometimes a little forced but is always smart. Characters are complex and human. The entire story takes place in a literary setting -- characters are well-read, even many of the jokes are literary. Woody Allen fans will enjoy this film, though I'm not saying it feels like his work. It has its own feel. Good stuff!
