Plot Summary

School Spirit couldn’t be higher as Monster High is racing toward the championships in the most ghoultastic sport ever! When Clawd and Deuce are mysteriously injured and the team is short of its star players, Frankie takes on tradition and convinces her ghoulfriends to join the team and save the day. They reinvent the game with their own personal style, flair and unique monster talents. It looks like the ghouls will take Monster High to the skullastic championship until the rival team starts to play dirty tricks. The fate of the sport and their school’s cred are all on the line as they skate to the finish line!

Customer Reviews

Very enjoyable movie.

I was pleasantly surprised by the lessons this movie brought. I can admit there are flaws in this movie and it could be slightly less cheesy, but it did have some interesting things in it. First off the sexist issue they address which does it well. Teaching young ladies that being a girl and playing like one is not only good, but is the reason why you're a winner. A very positive message that I think all young girls need to learn. That being a girl and feminine doesn't mean weakness, but instead is your strength.
Also another thing it tackles is tradition and how in reality, not all traditions are good simply because they're traditions. I thought this was a pretty gutsy lesson to bring to this movie seeing as how people are often touchy when it comes to things like their traditions and not wanting things to change simply for THEIR own benefit. I literally slow clapped at Frankie's speech cause I can't tell you how many excuses I heard from people on how certain things should stay simply because "it's tradition" when, really, what's the harm in changing certain traditions anyway? Especially ones that don't hurt anyone!
Alright rant over! Overall, pretty well done! Probably my favourite of the MH specials. Had great morals, all the characters looked good (including Draculaura who I didn't like for a while), we saw how certain characters were introduced, and it's just a fun movie in general. Very pleased indeed!
