Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Director and co-writer Thomas Bezucha shows no particular flair for either of his jobs. But kids are unlikely to focus on the terrible editing, flat visuals, or lack of character development.
Rotten: Director Thomas Bezucha lingers too long on side plots and doesn't give the film emotional resonance.
Rotten: The scenery is pretty, the actresses work hard and it all goes by fairly quickly, if unmemorably.
Rotten: After Selena Gomez's auspicious big-screen debut in Ramona and Beezus, Monte Carlo feels like two steps back for the Wizards of Waverly Place star.

MONTE CARLO
Don't listen to Rotten Tomates up there. Their review is rotten. I saw this movie twice in theaters and it was worth it. This movie is so cute! Must See!
Awesome movie
This movie is awesome, the critics on Rotten Tomatoes are just haters. I mean it was a good movie to see if you love story and character driven romance comedies. I mean it was so fun to watch, I loved it more than watching any action film. I'd have to say it deserves a look at and a buy. The only downside is that it sort of promotes identity theft [by accident that is]. I would recommend this to fans of romance comedies and or Selena Gomez fans. I'd also recommend watching it before deciding to pass, it's a nice story and has alot of heart.
Monte Carlo
Two friends and myself went to see this in theater. I went to this movie to see my two friends and have a little fun to be quite honest. I walked into that theater thinking that it was going to be for little girls (ages 6-11) but it was suprisingly, not! I'm 13 and was 13 when I watched the movie and to be honest, i don't think it was appropriate for the audience i thought it was going to be aimed at. I enjoyed it very much, all very good actors/actresses. Cory Monteith is one of the few reasons i agreed to go. Yes, the previews made it look fairy tale-ish but it wasn't. And i don't really know why the critics at Rotten Tomatoes said that but i guess we're all entitled to our own opinion.
