Plot Summary

Shukree Hassan Tilghman, a 29-year-old African American filmmaker, is on a cross-country campaign to end Black History Month. Through this thoughtful, humorous journey, "More Than a Month" investigates what the treatment of history tells us about race and equality in a "post-racial" America. This should be required viewing in American History classes in school districts around the country. After watching it the first time some scenes will stay with you and you get even more out of it after a 2nd viewing. Informative and funny.
