Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: The movie has everything a teenage boy could want... Everything, that is, but an interesting plot, decent dialogue and compelling acting. – Laura Evenson, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 18, 2002

Rotten: Likely to satisfy only the core audience already hooked on video and arcade games, and even that's not a sure thing. – Richard Harrington, Washington Post, Mar 7, 2001

Rotten: The movie that most nearly approximates a video game: lots of action, no plot, eye-catching computer effects and a dollop of violence. – Sean Means, Film.com, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Just looks and plays a lot like Johnny Mnemonic, Double Dragon and other video-game-inspired, mayhem-filled messes. – John Hartl, Film.com, Jun 24, 2010

Best movie of all time

If you're a child of the 90's, a fan of video games, or just an MK fan in general, you'll love this movie, take it from one of the only true MK fans out there, this is the best movie of all time!

Tubular

Ok, this is an awesome movie and the games are incredible, but where is the Mortal Kombat CD by The Immortals? That has the REAL Mortal Kombat song and I really want to buy that, but iTunes doesn't have it!! So, please add the Mortal Kombat CD to iTunes so I can buy it! Thank you.

Pure 90's awesomeness

I watched this movie when it came out in theaters and have loved it ever since. Cheesy, silly, terrible dialogue, slow martial arts...but that's what makes the movie so charming.

Release the soundtrack! Best movie music ever!
