Plot Summary

Mum & Dad, the impressive debut by writer-director Steven Sheil, is one of the most disturbing Brit-shockers to emerge in recent years. When Lena, a young polish immigrant working as an office cleaner at Heathrow Airport, misses her last bus home, she accepts an offer of help from friendly co-worker Birdie, who lives nearby with her 'adoptive' parents. Knocked unconscious after arriving at the house, Lena soon finds herself imprisoned in a suburban House of Horrors, a living nightmare of abuse, torture and murder. Designated a 'Mummy's Girl', Lena's only options appear to be to become part of the family - and join Mum & Dad in their insanity - or die.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Despite droll moments and impressive production values for an allegedly tiny ($200,000) budget, an extra idea or two would have made this a little bit better than just OK. – Leslie Felperin, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: riffs off The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but its setting in a house right under the flightpath of Heathrow Airport brings some peculiarly English shadings to the butcher's table. – Anton Bitel, Little White Lies, Dec 1, 2010

Fresh: Both a gruellingly tense survival horror and a darkly comic satire, Mum & Dad offers fresh meat to the cannibal family subgenre. – Anton Bitel, Film4, Jun 24, 2010

so twisted!

The writer who thought of this story is probably mental maybe a little bit genius. If you like horror movies you are in for a treat! It's pretty gory but if you like that sort of thing it's great and if you don't just cover your eyes!

Ick!

Be prepared! Kinda sick! But I liked it...what does that say about me? Lol

excelent

i just took a chance on this movie becouse is was cheep. to my suprise, it turned out to be one of the best horror movies i have ever seen! it was everything true horror should have in it. and even though they dont show all the gore, i think that was best. they showed enough. this movie is exelent for the seasoned horror lover. you have got to see this. you have to see the part with the dad, in the chair, with the meat. and what is the meat? when i saw that part, i was shocked! i have never seen that in a horror movie before! to me, that was the most horrifing!
