A modern classic
Theres a scene in the film where James Garner sits down with Sally Fields son and discusses making good choices in your life. Its short, but is really what the movie is all about, making a good moral decision despite the fashion of the day. The scummy ex husband represents the moral decline of society. A great film with a great message, starring some of the best actors of their generation. Not to be missed.
Murphy's Romance
This is my favorite movie of all time! It's a true love story! I've seen it a thousand times and I'll watch it a thousand more! The only disappointing part about this movie is that there is no soundtrack! Carole King is an amazing singer/song writer and the entire score is hers but it can't be purchased anywhere! So if you fall in love with the music like I did then you're destined for disappointment! But it's better to have loved the lyrics and not been able to purchase them, than to never had heard them at all!
Top five!
One of my top five movies! Absolutely love this movie. No bad language. No nudity. Wholesome family movie.
