Plot Summary
This critically acclaimed film, by Oscar-nominee Daniel Anker, is a filmic exploration of the magic and mystery of music through the stories, passion, and artistry of the 105 musicians of The Philadelphia Orchestra, in their first film appearance since Disney's Fantasia. An exuberant crowd-pleaser, the movie is a feast of sound — with jazz, bluegrass, salsa, classical and world music interwoven with the musicians’ personal stories, each of which has at its core the universal struggle for self-expression. Nominated for the International Documentary Association’s Distinguished Feature Award, and winner of the Parents’ Choice Silver Award.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Daniel Anker's profound and moving documentary captures the power of the creative process in an uncommonly perceptive and inspiring way.
Fresh: Provides no real answers but plenty of thoughtful ideas and enriching music along the way.
Fresh: A revealing portrait of painfully withdrawn artists navigating the tug between the divine harmony of an orchestral synthesis and the sweaty glow of individual experimentation.
Rotten: Those who prefer a little meat on their documentary bones may come away hungry.
