Plot Summary
For hundreds of years guitars have been made the same way but now this could all change. Musicwood is an adventure-filled journey, a political thriller with music at its heart. An unusual band of the most famous guitar-makers in the world travel together into the heart of one of the most primeval rainforests on the planet. Their mission: to negotiate with Native American loggers and change the way this forest is logged before it's too late. A modern twist on a classic story; Musicwood is an urgent battle between the white man and Native Americans.

GREATNESS … with a warning...
Really a nicely done documentary that makes you think, and respect all sides. Not sure what the end result will be amongst the logging Corporation, but at least each side is receptive to the other and dialogue has been engaged.
Was disappointed that Chris Martin did not travel with the rest of those CEO’s to the Alaskan forest, instead sending his resource manager. Thought that to be quite disrespectful, and as a Martin owner, I really need to hear a good reason why Chris chose to do this. Nothing could’ve been as important as traveling with those other CEO’s and building that sort of camaraderie.
Great film
A beautifully produced film on the spectacular forests of Alaska and their close ties to the music we all love. As a guitar lover, nature lover and film buff this one hit all the soft spots. Well done and beautiful but will leave a bad taste in your mouth towards the for profit timber industry and their myopic and selfish need to clear cut massive old growth forests for short term gain. Makes you hate the native american corporation and its leaders with such disdain and disgust. The leaders of the SEALASKA corp are truly horrific people… they steal from all to enrich themselves and share virtually none of the profits with their people… If anything comes from this film it should be the demise of this corp and its charlatan leaders.

Wow, what a beautiful documentary on the forest and wood that make our guitars. Makes you really think about the impact we are having on our environment.
Please watch this and care.
