Plot Summary
Two carefree pals (Ralph Macchio and Mitchell Whitfield) traveling through Alabama are mistakenly arrested, and charged with murder. Fortunately, one of them has a cousin who's a lawyer - Vincent Gambini (Joe Pesci), a former auto mechanic from Brooklyn who just passed his bar exam after his sixth try. Vinny's never been in court - or in Alabama - and when he arrives with his leather-clad girlfriend (Marisa Tomei in her Oscar® winning Supporting Actress performance), to try his first case, it's a real shock - for him and the Deep South!
Customer Reviews
the beautiful Marisa Tomei
besides being a great movie, seeing Marisa is worth the watch, a true American Beauty. she did win an oscar for this performance and hails from the almighty Brooklyn, NY!...these new actresses out now can go in the toilet or trash, fuggeddaboutit!
Such a funny movie
Possibly the funniest movie ever. It has humor that can be enjoyed by anyone. Never a dull moment, all excitement and hysterical laughing. Worth $1,000,000
Recommended for anyone (comfortable with language use)
It's not G rated. Obviously.
But My Cousin Vinny has been a favorite of mine for years! It's laugh out loud funny, the lines from the movie seem to stick to your head (I laugh thinking about them!), and it's storyline and characters are believable (maybe just a little over the top), and somewhat relatable. But if you are uncomfortable with the "F" word, watch it on cable so it's edited. This movie is well-worth seeing!
