Fresh: An effective exercise in Bollywood high emotionalism. – Rachel Saltz, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Karan Johar's film is a message picture, and like many in that genre it runs overly long as it assiduously works to make its point. – Craig Mathieson, sbs.com.au, Jun 24, 2010

The next gen of movie watching

Nearly all of SRK's movies are enjoyable and interesting to watch. This movie is without a doubt one of his finer movies and he gives his all to the character he portrays in this film.

Kajol has always had great movie chemistry with SRK and I'm glad they brought that chemistry back after nearly a decade of its absence from the big screen.

In past bollywood films the songs would normally play out at odd times just to move the film along, with their over the top dance sequences. Now the songs are more intricately introduced to bring out a point in the film and the dances are still nice to watch. But that element is what makes Hindi Films so Bollywoood.

Let's just say that he brings more charisma onto the screen than Ben Affleck, Keanu Reeves, and in recent times, John Travolta combined.

Words cannot fully describe this films depth and intelligence!

It would be impossible to fully describe the affect this film had on me and my guest. The span of this film, it's efforts to connect Christianity, Muslim and Hindu cultures. The efforts to dispel prejudice with intelligence and emotion. This is an Inspirational Masterpiece of epic proportions for anyone who believes that Human Kind must embrace and respect all cultures or face certain doom.

Those who wish to dismiss this film as "leftist dribble" or any other of the inane insults must lack any degree of compassion or empathy. The story is moving and while it's almost 3 hours you will find moments of great joy, sheer terror, disbelief and in the end, Amazing Hope.

The acting is First Rate. Yes, it has subtitles, yes it does not contain a BIG American Star, but this story is so timely and compelling, you do yourself a great dis-service if you don't watch it at least once.

I read some of these reviews, the insults that show utter contempt to the Muslims and I feel disheartened for mankind. But, I will watch my copy again and I will show it to as many of my friends and family so I may do my part to share this wonderful film. "My Name Is Khan".

If films like this continue to be made, no matter what country it comes from, I believe there is a chance for Peace in the World!

My Name Is Khan....

i think if ppl watch this movie, they would really learn something. in a time where our world is against race, religion, and ppl of different cultures, this movie goes to show that just becuz ppl are different it doesnt mean that its the end of the world. this movie can really teach ppl a lesson on accepting others.
