Plot Summary
Jason Patric and Ray Liotta star in this sizzling action-drama that Elvis Mitchell of The New York Times says "...has the velocity of a hot slug from the barrel of a gun." Patric stars as Nick Tellis, a suspended narcotics officer recruited to investigate the murder of Michael Calvess, a rookie cop killed under mysterious circumstances. Tellis is teamed with Calvess's partner, Henry Oak (Liotta), a hot-tempered renegade who'll stop at nothing to avenge his friend's death. As Tellis and Oak follow a shadowy trail through the seamy drug underworld, the lines start to blur - between right and wrong, good and evil, and justice and revenge. Costarring music superstar Busta Rhymes.

Awesome flick
This is a movie that is not well known by most people......but hands down this is my favorite movie overall in the crime drama field. For a movie that was not hyped up alot (in fact I don't even remember a movie trailer for it) it is awesome. Ray Liotaa plays a dirty cop exceptionally well, Jason Leigh does a great job too. Heck, even Busta Rymes plays a good dirt bag. I would, and do, recommend this movie to everyone.
Narc

Narc gets it done
Another one of my favorites, this movie had it all gritty style, excellent dialog, some dark yet funny parts(even dark films can have a few funny parts), plus the story as some great plot twists in it. Ray Liotta was great as the hard hitting renegade and Jason Patric as the street wise yet conflict cop on the edge of losing it as he gets deeper into mistery behind the death of Liotta's partner. Definiately another great yet underated film
