Plot Summary
Determined to honor his father’s scouting legacy and mount one last comeback for his dwindling troop, Assistant Scoutmaster Randy Stevens (Patton Oswalt) pays a visit to his business-minded brother Kirk (Johnny Knoxville), who is throwing a television-themed slumber party for his newly adopted 10-year-old son at his McMansion. Randy pressures the boys to secretly ditch the party and join him on a weekend scout trip. Pursued by Kirk and his security guard (Rob Riggle), the boys land in trouble at every turn of an adventure that pits them against angry parents and park rangers, yet ultimately turns these sheltered kids into a troop to be reckoned with.

Rotten: Its jokes won't appeal to anyone older than 8, but a parent who takes a child to this crass mess would be subject to prosecution.
Rotten: It almost seems like harder work somehow to get this many comedians together and then turn out a movie that is only so fitfully funny.
Rotten: The unmitigated disaster of the camping trip just stays disastrous, the story never really finding its way from adversity to heroic redemption.

Rocked my world! Still laughing
One of the best new comedies I;ve seen in a long time. Knoxville and Rob Riggle are great and the movie is actually very sweet. Watched it with my teens and it wasn't too vulgar or crazy for them. 100% worth it especially considering what else is out there!
Patrice O'neil was awesome!
really only wanted to see Patrice, but i was a pretty funny movie. Patrice O'neil stole the movie in my eyes. rip
