Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: In Never Say Never Again, the formula is broadened to accommodate an older, seasoned man of much greater stature, and Mr. Connery expertly fills the bill. – Janet Maslin, New York Times, Oct 23, 2012

Fresh: It is good to see Connery's grave stylishness in this role again. It makes Bond's cynicism and opportunism seem the product of genuine worldliness (and world weariness) as opposed to Roger Moore's mere twirpishness. – Mary Corliss, TIME Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: It's a major disappointment that, having lured back the original 007, the film makers couldn't offer him something better than this drawn-out, hackneyed story. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Oct 13, 2008

Rotten: Without absolute conviction, no action film can survive: if there's no belief, there's no danger. – Dave Kehr, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

Amazing

Don't listen to what some people will tell you! This is an amazing film. Having Sean Connery back felt right. This time around he was more enthusiastic compared to Diamonds Are Forever, and it shows.

I heard wrong

I always heard this was the worst of all the Bond films. Mainly from it being separate from the canon. But I really enjoyed this one a great deal. Some things aren't perfect. Like the lack of Bond theme and pretty bad opening title song, but Connery is back and better than ever.

Nice to See You Again Mr. Bond

Finally. Making this movie available sort of makes up for the George Lucas "Raiders" bundle fiasco!
