Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: What it finally adds up to is a huge mixed bag of waxworks and daring, a film that is furiously ambitious even when it goes flat, and startling even when it settles for eerie, movie-of-the-week mimicry. – Janet Maslin, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Real life, if it's real Nixon, is more dramatic than an Oliver Stone movie. – Richard Corliss, TIME Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Joan Allen goes beyond her chilling physical resemblance to Pat Nixon toward serious Oscar worthiness. – Mike Clark, USA Today, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Nixon starts, like a horror movie, on a dark and stormy night, with the president prowling around a room of the White House like Dracula in his lair. – Kenneth Turan, Los Angeles Times, Jan 28, 2006

awesome

Without a doubt the finest conspiracy movie ever made. Every scene is a masterpiece. Every role is cast perfectly. James Woods' finest performance. Hopkins and Sorvino are stunning.

Sadly it's not the director's cut., so the Dick Helms scene is missing.

Great movie

If you like "political" kinds of movies, or conspiracy type movies, then this is the movie for you. I REALLY liked this, and in my opinion this is Oliver Stone's best work.

It's a bit long, but it kept me interested every minute.

It's hard to believe this only gets a 75% rating.

This IS the Director's Cut because it does have the scene where Nixon visits Dick Helms.
