Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Though the dirt and grime in North Country are artfully applied, it's purely cosmetic and skin-deep.
Fresh: You cannot help being stirred by the reach and depth, the constant rebuffs to sloppiness, of a strong ensemble.
Fresh: North Country delivers an emotional wallop and a couple of performances worthy of recognition come award time.
Fresh: North Country may be a simplistic account of a hard-won battle, but it will have audiences cheering.

North Country
One of the most disturbing films I have seen in that it is based on a true story. So hard to fathom, but know it happens every day, the nature and extent of the sexual harassment that existed in that company. A well told story. Beautiful performances by Charlize Theron, Frances McDormand, and Sissy Spacek. Great film.
Great movie
Having worked in the 1980's in a male dominated field, I can say this harassment happened daily. Women in the workplace not being taken seriously and considered "nuts or sluts" if you complained. This should be shown in every classroom in America. Great acting job from everyone. I was very impressed with the movie and the fact that it's a true story.
