Plot Summary
Jonathan Harker is sent away to Count Dracula's castle to sell him a house in Varna, where Jonathan lives. But Count Dracula is a vampire, an undead ghoul living off of men's blood. Inspired by a photograph of Lucy Harker, Jonathan's wife, Dracula moves to Varna, bringing with him death and plague. . . An unusually contemplative version of Dracula, in which the vampire bears the curse of not being able to get old and die.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: It's funny without being silly, eerie without being foolish and uncommonly beautiful in a way that has nothing to do with mere prettiness.
Fresh: Between the hordes of stowaway rats that accompany Dracula's arrival, and a town-plaza dance of folly by doomed survivors (a Herzog addition), it's like being present at the birth of a medieval legend.
Fresh: To say of someone that they were born to play a vampire is a strange compliment, but if you will compare the two versions of Nosferatu you might agree with me that only Kinski could have equaled or rivaled Max Schreck's performance.
Fresh: Nosferatu the Vampyre may not be scary in a traditional sense, but it is not easily forgotten.

Hmmmmm
Meheeeeaaa.
Hmmm...
Kinski's haunting portrayal of a tortured beast is a far, and amazing, cry from the sauve and urbane usual. This is an amazing movie on many levels and certainly is a 'must see' for anyone seeking a truly classic take on Stoker's beaten-to-death tale.
Nosferatu the Vampyre
This has to be the worst rendition of the Dracula saga I have ever viewed. Klaus Kinski is actually laughable, a bit too effeminate, and just plain terrible. The other actors are equally as bad in their roles. I deleted it before it ended. The star is for all those who have sat through the entire film. No one did Dracula like Bela.💀
